EIFS

Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is a nonload bearing, exterior wall cladding system that consists of an insulation board attached either adhesively or mechanically, or both, to the substrate; an integrally reinforced base coat; and a textured protective finish coat.

The predominate method of EIFS applied today is with Drainage, and as the name implies, EIFS with Drainage helps to eliminate moisture before it has an opportunity to enter the wall cavity.

EIFS is made up of E.P.S. (expanded polystyrene insulation) which will provide a thermal resistance or “R” value that can range from 2.3- 4.0 per inch for your exterior wall system depending on the density of the EPS board. This system works best because it insulates the structure from the outside in, keeping the cool or hot air within the structure.

STUCCO

Traditionally, stucco is made of cement mixture, in which the cement is combined with water and inert materials such as sand and lime. Once dried the material is very hard and dense.
When specified, acrylics and glass fibers are added to the mixture to improve the strength and performance of the stucco system.
Due to variety of available finishes and relative low cost, stucco is a popular wall system in commercial construction with many different forms such as: traditional stucco system, three coat stucco systems, hard-coat stucco systems and a synthetic stucco systems.
These cladding materials are applicable to vertical, horizontal, exterior and interior surfaces, on all kinds of building structures.

VENEER PLASTER / HARD COAT

Hard Coat or better known as veneer plaster is a specialty trade that takes skilled plaster mechanics to complete the job and was traditionally used in the earlier years before gypsum was introduced. This type of finish can provide a very clean finish that is highly resistant to cracking and abrasive failure. Veneer plaster installed in single coat and double coat applications in both exterior/interior application. Proper wall finishing technique is achieved by using thin layers of plaster material applied with spatula or trowel and then polished to create a smooth wall surface with an illusion of deep texture.
